A Probabilistic Model for Evaluation of the Dynamic Behavior of a Concrete Gravity Dam considering the Fluid-Structure Interaction

Regarding the importance of interaction effect in dynamic behavior a concrete dam and reservoir, process hydrodynamic wave propagation reservoir its effects on response gravity are examined this article by presenting new probabilistic model. For purpose, program has been written an APDL environment Ansys software capable analysis system models. The Monte Carlo method with LHS applied for model, which essential parameters dam-reservoir problem include excitation frequency, height, length as input variables, their changes evaluated. better understanding concept to show capability presented two simple isolated models have considered. According results, distribution trend pressure along can be obviously recognized. Also, results present dependence responses status frequency relationship natural frequency.
